Founder and President
Laurent Verdier is working at the heart of Energy Transition for the last 25 years.
After volunteering in Ingénieurs Sans Frontières NGO and graduating from Master Engineering School of Arts et Métiers, he started his career as commissioning engineer of Combined Cycle plants before taking Project Management responsibilities in various energy businesses, namely Alstom Power Centrales, Alstom Hydro, Alstom Wind Onshore & General Electric Offshore.
He has recognized experience from his peers in delivering first of kind projects, in managing large project portfolio, in developing new businesses and building organizations in Spain, France, China, Japan, US and Brazil.
In the last 4 years, he was leading Renewables Business Line of SBM Offshore, who entered successfully in Floating Wind market delivering the first French pilot floating wind farm and developing a portfolio of Floating Wind Projects of >2GW in North Europe and North America
Previously, he was Project Management Executive Leader of the Offshore Wind business of General Electric and Project Office Vice President of Alstom Wind. In his role, he delivered prototype projects, pilot farms and commercial windfarms, ensuring lesson learning between project teams and functions, and adapting execution model of both companies. During this period of 7 years, he was heading risk committee of ALSTOM Wind and member of Project Operation Council of General Electric.
Before taking above executive functions, he was Project Director of Pumped Storage Hydropower Projects based in China for 5 years, where he embraced the challenge to work on large and complex projects for the renewables energy sector.
